Help / FAQ
How quickly can I complete the program?
The great thing about taking an online defensive driving course for Alaska is that you can work at your own pace. Although our class is designed to be an eight hour program to comply with state requirements, you have the ability to take as much or as little time as you need to complete our course. We understand that everyone reads at different speeds, so take an online course that accommodates you!
How long does it take to receive the certificate?
Once graduated from our course, we send your completion certificate to two places: one to the Alaska DMV and one to you. The certificate that gets delivered to the DMV will be sent within a 24 hour period. However, the certificate copy that is mailed to your mailbox is delivered via 1st Class USPS Mail. Please allow up to 7 to 10 business days to receive your certificate. This will be the copy that will need to be taken to the court.
How much does the course cost?
If you are looking for a cheap and affordable program, this website is right for you! For the affordable fee of $39.99, you will receive everything you need for the program. This includes the entire course online, your final exam, retakes (if necessary), and more! For about how much money it takes to fill up your gas tank, you will have your ticket dismissed, lower to no points on your driving record, and a cheaper auto insurance rate. What more could you ask for?
How can I make payment for the program?
From start to finish we make the process of taking defensive driving as easy as can be. This includes the payment. We offer multiple ways for you to pay your tuition fee for the course:
- Online through credit or debit card.
- Over the phone through credit or debit card.
- By check or money order through mail.
If you are sending in a check or money order, please make all payments payable to:

What if my deadline to complete defensive driving has passed?

At the DMV or the courthouse, you will be able to obtain an extension for the course. No defensive driving program can offer extension dates.
